AHC Flood Assistance Program

As of Wednesday, August 9, 2023, NY Governor Kathy Hochul’s office has announced that eligible homeowners in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Dutchess Counties will be able to apply for grants of up to $50,000 for qualified flood repairs. These grants are being offered as part of an additional $3 million that the governor’s office has allocated in emergency assistance to Hudson Valley homeowners. In order to qualify for a grant, residents must have a primary residence in one of the aforementioned counties and be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. Activities covered by these grants include repair or replacement of electrical and plumbing systems, heating systems and appliances, flooring, drywall, insulation, windows, doors, siding, and roofing. The program will be overseen by New York State Homes and Community Renewal and will be administered by several non-profits in each county. Applications open on Friday, August 11, and can be found at https://hcr.ny.gov/ahc-flood-assistance-program, along with a full list of eligible repairs.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call your State Senator Robert Rolison’s Office:
