Dog License

Must I license my dog, and, if so, how can I do so?

All dogs in New York State, at least four months of age, must be licensed. A dog license cannot be issued without proof the dog has an up-to-date rabies vaccination and proof of whether or not the dog has been spayed or neutered. All licenses are issued at the Town Clerk’s Office, 238 Main Street, Cold Spring, New York, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Any questions please call 845-265-3329.
