Temporary Night Work near Manitou Station, Tuesday October 12 and Fri., Oct. 15 to Tues., Oct 19

Metro-North will be doing required night work at Manitou for approximately six more nights when there is less train service to allow for excavation work to take place in support of a critical underground fiber optic cable system being installed on the Hudson Line.

We apologize for any inconvenience and disruption caused by this important work and will make every effort to minimize the impact of the work to the surrounding community. To minimize the impact of the work to the surrounding area we are doing the following:

• All hi-rail equipment operators have been instructed not to unnecessarily leave their equipment in gear with the backup alarm continuously beeping.
• We are using existing lights at the location that point down & away from the nearby properties.
