Putnam County Memorial Day Convoy (25 May 2020)
The Putnam County Veterans Service Agency with the support of County Executive MaryEllen Odell and Sheriff Langley has organized a Memorial Day Convoy. The convoy will be traveling through each town and village in Putnam County using the town halls as waypoints. We will have a police escort, military vehicles, fire vehicles, and local Veterans driving, flying flags, and playing music!
While safely practicing social distancing, we encourage people to come out along the route to celebrate the memory of those who died in active military service. Please bring your flags and honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
The convoy will launch from the Donald B. Smith Campus in Carmel at 1:00PM sharp (convoy will assemble at Noon) on Monday May 25th. View the map and directions.
If you are interested in having any vehicles participate in the convoy please contact Karl Rohde or Arthur Hanley at the Putnam County Veterans Service Agency so we can keep an accurate count on the vehicles that will be participating in the Memorial Day Convoy. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns as well. Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing people along the route!
Respectfully,
Kevin M. Cooke
